It’s Harvest time! I love this time of year, the constant noise of the tractors and combine harvesters busy in the fields and then the change in landscape- from waist high wheat to stubble fields.
You can feel the change of season is on it’s way.
We’re lucky to have had such a fantastic summer- it’s been dry with sunshine and dramatic sun sets in the evening.
I’m starting to see butterflies on my Buddleia, mainly the Red Admiral but I’ll keep my eye out for other pollinators. Bees have been very busy, particularly in my cat mint where there’s a constant buzzing.
Garden birds seem to have mainly vanished for the time being, but they’ll be back in early Autumn.
Lets hope this weather continues, although I hate to say it – we just need a little bit of rain…(Sorry)
