Help for Arkesden Church

Dear Residents,
We need your help. We all appreciate the beauty and calm of the church and its grounds but over past couple of years or so the number of volunteers looking after the churchyard has reduced and we now need more help. The work principally involves mowing and strimming from April through to October, with some weeding and general tidying. We also organise a more general tidy-up in the Spring and Autumn – cutting hedges, trimming trees and shrubs, leaf collection etc.

If you can help in any way, please get in touch – either by email to stephenelvidge@hotmail.co.uk or by calling me on 550204.

I’m proposing we have a WhatsApp group to help organise who’s available to do what and when.

Many thanks
Steve Elvidge for Arkesden Parochial Church Council

Susan Erb will be doing a sponsored cycle ride in early June to raise money for church maintenance.

The plan is to cycle the Way of the Roses from Morecambe to Bridlington (over those terrifying Yorkshire hills..). If you would like to donate the Just Giving link is; https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/susan-erb1.

Thank you and good luck Susan!
